My wife and I spent 5 weeks in England, Florida and cruising in the Caribbean over December and January and, after a lot of research, decided the time was right to invest in America.

Could this be the beginnings of global expansion for us?!
Certainly, there is so much activity in Internet marketing in the States, that we feel we need to spend more time there. The UK’s doing well in that sphere though too. We already have property there and, in fact, are giving away one of our properties, a luxury apartment worth almost $2/3 million, located in a high-class, gated community.

Why You Must Network With Other Successful People

My wife, Eve, and I have never been on a cruise before, but one of our excelelnt former mentors, Tracy Repchuk, is a VIP and speaker on Mike Filsaime’s Marketers’ Cruise around the Caribbean, so it seems a great way to meet fellow marketers, mentors, coaches and entrepreneurs in a fun, relaxed atmosphere and sample cruising, plus catch up with the lovely and talented Tracy.

We stayed in an hotel the night before the cruise and made new friends with the delightful Amanda and Rob van der Gulik and Emma Tiebens. We can definitely see ourselves working with them!

We’re cruising to Cozumel (Eve and I have been diving there when we holidayed in Mexico), Isla Roatan (Honduras), Belize, and visiting Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Gosh – the very first evening of our very first cruise and already we’ve secured a  Joint Venture (JV)! It’s to write and edit a multi-authored coaching / personal development book with a best-selling Amazon author, our old mentor Tracy Repchuk!

That’s our number 1 tip for 2010: the extraordinary power of JVs. Keep an open mind about the possibilities of working with other people to capitalise on diverse strengths in the group and get access to each mailing list or database at the same time.

Buying Our First Property / Real-Estate In Florida

Having made a low-ball offer on a  property in stunning Naples, a chi-chi town in South-Western Florida prior to going on Mike Filsaime’s Marketers’ cruise, after some negotiations we closed on our first American property in April 2010. Wow – we’re now the proud owners of somewhere can call our winter sunshine home, US visas permitting. Ah, the joys of the Internet business lifestyle, where, so long as you have an Internet connection and a laptop, you can have a portable business! Outsourcing helps too…..

Florida, USA – Real-Estate / Property & Joint Ventures

Visiting Florida For Winter Sunshine And A Cruise And Picking Up A Real-Estate Bonus!

We wanted some winter sunshine, so we spent 3 weeks in Florida travelling around prior to going on our first ever cruise: socialising and networking with hundreds of marketers & entrepreneurs. Eve and I visited Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers, Marco Island, Sarasota and chi-chi Naples, which I’d visited 20 years or so ago. It was smarter and more stylish than ever and Eve loved it too.

Having time on our hands, (one of the many advantages of having your own companies plus a laptop!), we idly picked up some real-estate / property magazines and ‘casually’ set up a few appointments, ‘just to see what was on offer’ in the Sunshine State. The answer? Great value and plentiful sunshine, the outdoor life, friendly people and great seafood. The outcome is that we’ve made an offer on a property in an immaculately maintained development.

We are off on the Caribbean cruise for marketers, coaches, mentors and entrepreneurs now, visiting Cozumel, Belize, Honduras and the Yucatan Peninsula, so will have to wait and see if our offer is accepted….. Watch this space!

Cruising in January 2010 with Top Internet Marketers

It’s amazing how quickly our cruise has come around! We leave for the UK 2 weeks today! It doesn’t seem long ago that I was thinking, well, it’s 3 months away – that’s ages! Travel was booked a while back; accommodation has mostly been finalised. All we need to do now is finalise as much work as possible before delegating anything else – we’re away from our offices for 5 weeks! You’ve got to love the benefits of the Internet business lifestyle :-)

So, mid-December, it’s a trip to England to visit our family and friends. Then a flight to Tampa, Florida, where we’ll chill out for 2 weeks in Naples, hopefully meeting up with a few sets of friends who live out there, plus viewing some properties and discussing a business venture (our real-estate book and other things) with a few brokers / Realtors (r) we’ve been in touch with.

Then who knows? Maybe Miami or the Florida Keys.
9-16th January, we’ll be joining 300-400 other Internet marketers on a brand new cruise ship for a week’s cruise to Mexico, Belize and Honduras. Should be fantastic! The food is supposed to be fab.

We’ll report back here on news of new friends, amazing JVs (joint ventures), and that food – and probably a return to the diet for a few weeks afterwards!
